Block paving driveways are one of the most effective ways to acheive this, along with the benefit of being hardwearing, low maintenance and cost effective.

Block paving is available in a vast range of block sizes, colours, shapes and textures. At prestige paving we can work with you to design your perfect driveway or pedestrian area. We can deliver and skillfully execute a wide choice of styles from traditional cobble effect with raised or flush border to an ultra modern paving design unique to your property.

Block Paved Driveways

We always dig out the surface area to a minimum depth of 250mm,  (deeper dependent upon ground conditions) and remove all earth and excess materials immediately. We always use Geotextile membrane to prevent weed growth and use type 1 hardcore as part of the foundation for blocks which we then compact with a heavy roller.

We then install the edging courses on concrete and install any necessary drainage. All our work  is carried out in compliance to your local council’s specifications.

Prestige Paving always take specific care when screeding grit sand to ensure correct levels and falls to receive the block paving. We ‘cut in’ using only diamond tipped blades to acheive a precision cut. All drain covers are installed using paving trays to maintain the integrity of the pattern and over all design.

We finish our driveways by brushing in kiln dried sand, this is then joint-sealed with Keybond for weed suppression before the final compaction with the plate vibrator to create your new perfect driveway.
